Connect a model

ZeroSphere lets you bring the AI providers you want to use. Add a provider key, then choose from the models available in your app.

Add a provider key

Open Settings, then Configuration.

The current app supports keys for OpenAI, Gemini, Anthropic, OpenRouter, and Tavily. Tavily is used for web research.

The desktop app saves provider keys using operating system backed protection when it is available. ZeroSphere shows whether a key is configured, but does not show the saved value in the app.

Choose a model

Choose a model from the menu beside the message box. You can set a default model for new tasks in Settings, then General.

Some models offer a reasoning effort choice. A higher setting can help with difficult work, but may take longer or use more provider capacity.

The model list depends on the providers you have configured and the catalog available in your current app build.

Add an OpenRouter model

In Configuration, choose the option for adding your own OpenRouter model. Enter the model code and an optional name. ZeroSphere checks the model information before adding it to your list.

After changing a key

ZeroSphere restarts its local agent service after a provider key changes. Give it a moment, then start or continue a task.

Next, read Make the agent yours.
